Noelle Hanuse, Wellness Coordinator is offering healing-centered engagement workshops for anyone working with Indigenous students at VIU.
Indigenous students have identified a need for holistic pedagogical approaches as integral to their success, and this workshop explores historic and ongoing colonial and intergenerational trauma and how the impacts of these traumas can be lessened in the classroom.
You are invited to register for Healthy Spirits, Healthy Schools: Towards a Transformational Pedagogy on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 11:30-1:00. This session is limited to 12 participants to allow time for protocol and sharing. Resources will be sent prior to the event as part of the discussion.
